I've always preferred brunettes to blondes with the exception of these little guys. Usually moist, tender and speckled with lots of toffee sweetness, I was a little disappointed with this batch that I made for the potluck. Too much flour?? Not enough butter? I blame the eggs, I only had small and four seemed like so many, but it could have used a fifth.
